"The events of the last time left a deep mark on me so that in my recent works you can feel pain and anxiety, fear and a sense of uncertainty and weightlessness. I like to create jarring and dramatic images to evoke anxiety, an uncomfortable feeling and a desire to think about it.''

For the first time in KooKoo - Moriah Kaplan (1978) born in Ukraine, immigrated to Israel with her daughter in 2016.
Lives and creates in Netanya.

Her painting "Hear Our Voice" that appears in this sale is part of a project she is working on "Beyond Paradise". It is a project about the fate of the Jewish people, about the Holocaust. Moriah finished painting it a year ago, at the beginning of October.

Who knew then that "never again" would repeat itself.
