With comments and the author's biography and a review of his books by Reb "Zalman … Gottlieb Stern Rechnitz".
In this special edition, which was printed with the author's biography, there is also an important review of the Meiri's books, which were published little by little during the years. Reb Zalman Gottlieb, who wrote the review, owned more than a hundred of the Meiri's manuscripts, as he writes in his preface to the book.
The copy before us has a green cover with an additional title page with an architectural frame. On its left side, an interesting advertisement by the publisher.
On the second title page, a signature: Gavriel".
On the two title pages, an inscription and signature of Rabbi Yehuda ben Gavriel Segal Ha'Levi.
Among the leaves of the book, several scholarly glosses, most likely in the handwriting of Rabbi Yehuda. At the end of the book, the booklet "Divrei Emet" is bound - Yiddish customs and laws of purifying the dead. At the end of the booklet, a handwritten gloss by the above Rabbi Yehuda with his signature.
Rabbi Yehuda ben Gavriel Segal Ha'Levi. (Died in 1878) a disciple of the Chatam Sofer at his yeshiva in Pressburg and with whom he corresponded. Author of "Yad Gavriel" - Novellae on Yoreh Deah.

Condition: Good. Two glosses are cut off.
