Commentary on the Tosefta Seder Zeraim and Noshim entitled Cheshek Shlomo, by the forger Shlomo Friedlander. Includes two scholarly introductions on the structure and history of the Tosefta. Friedlander claimed to have acquired an unknown Sephardic manuscript of the Tosefta which contained many variances to the accepted text. However various scholars including Adolf Schwartz and Jacob Yonovsky denounced Friedlander’s study and claimed that the aforementioned manuscript did not exist at all.
Friedlander went on to publish what he claimed was a historic discovery of the manuscript of the lost Talmud Yerushalmi on Kodshim which was initially accepted enthusiastically by some, but ultimately exposed as a sham. The saga of the fake Yerushalmi created great controversy in its time and completely discredited Friedlander.
