Unique Features: This copy is in rare condition; it looks as if was printed yesterday. Though the two sections were printed in different years, they were bound together a long time ago, and their edges are painted red.
Content: Printed without a title page. Hosea opens with a small, picture-framed initial letter. Each verse is marked with a number. No translation or commentaries. The colophon notes: Franciscus Raphelengius. Anno cI, IIIC. :Excudebat typis Plantinianis. Refer to the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book, entry 000304544.
Bound with: Mishlei Shlomo ... [Leiden], Raphelengii press, 1608.
Specifications: [42] leaves, 11 cm.
Content: The title page lists: Proverbia Salomonis, Iob, Canticu Canticorum, Ruth, Lamentations, Jeremiah, Ecclesiastes, Esther. However, this copy only has Proverbs. Every fifth verse is marked with a letter.
Condition: Very fine. Old, slightly scuffed, marbleized paper binding.
