Even Moshe, Warsaw 1859, with the Only Approbation by the Holy Rav of Kock

Even Moshe, the only book with an approbation by the Holy Rav the Saraf of Kock. Given in the last year of his life. Warsaw 1859.


Sefer Even Moshe, from the Torah of Rabbi Moshe ben Rabbi Yaakov Aharon of Brisk. Innovations on the Torah, Shas and Poskim and some Drushim on varied matters. Edited by his son Rabbi Eliezer. Warsaw, 1859. 

The only approbation by the holy Rav of Kock, who was also a subscriber alongside his sons and son-in-law the Avnei Nezer of Sochatchov. Approbation by the Chidushei HaRim, who was also a subscriber. 


The approbation was given in the last year of the holy Rav of Kock - 1859. The book was published after his passing. In the approbation, he is refereed to as Shlita whereas in the list of subscribers at the end of the book, he is referred to as having passed away: 'הרב הגאון הק' זצוקל"ה'.


The list of subscribers includes many leading rabbis of Poland. 


The book was approbated by many leading Polish rabbis.

At the beginning of the book, the only approbation ever given by the holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kock, signed by Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Tomshover on behalf of the Rav of Kock, noting that the Rav had said: "כשיצא מבית הדפוס יקח ג"כ בעזה"י ספר אחד, פה קאצק ז' מנחם אב תרי"ח". 


[5], 111, [11] leaves. A tear to the title page affecting its border. Perforation in the center of the title page. Moth perforations. Aging stains. New binding. Very good condition.
