Nye & Company - Nye & Company's September Chic & Antique Auction, held September 9-10, 2026, in Bloomfield, New Jersey, features American ceramics, furniture, folk art, fine art, modern art, and contemporary furnishings. The centerpiece is the Stradling Study Collection, offering approximately 111 lots of American pottery and related material assembled by influential New York antiques dealers Diana and Gary Stradling. Highlights include rare Connecticut and New Jersey Rockingham-glazed stoneware, a rare Philadelphia redware pitcher, and a rare Bennington figural flask. The auction also includes important Federal and early American furniture, including a rare Vermont bombe cherrywood chest attributed to George Stedman, a Federal carved and ormolu-mounted mahogany sofa possibly by Samuel Field McIntire, an eagle-inlaid Federal easy chair, and rare early Boston maple side chairs. Folk art highlights include the Dr. Josiah Bartlett grain-painted apothecary chest, a Pennsylvania painted pine chest, and several groups of painted Windsor chairs. Fine art offerings range from A.B.
