As always we would love to thank our Consignors for entrusting us with bringing their cherished possessions to Market for the First Time. The Modern Cameras (Leicas, Nikon) Etc. All come from the Estate of a Retired D.E.C Agent, World Traveler and Amaeture Wild Life Photographer. I Personally picked them up from the Estate and can attest they were meticulously cared for and stored. Moisture Absorbing pads in all bags etc, he even retained all the receipts & service records. Our other owner (Kyle) is a Photographer as well and has gone through the Cameras, some he has Film Tested, so look for the notations in the descriptions. Were honored and saddened to be handling the Estate of Mr. Stanley Covert. Mr. Covert was Born in 1936 and Operated the Am-Pm Convivence Store in Watkins Glen, NY. Which sparked his passion for collecting long before Petroliana was as in Vogue as it is now. Over the last 12 years I had the Pleasure of knowing Mr. Stanley personally. He was a humble and pleasant person, and even when he was sick id stop anytime I traveled by. He would stay inside and we would sit and trade "Pickin" Stories via the back Porch for a half hour or so then id be on my way. Years ago when he was in better Health he would occasionally even sell me a thing or two for my Personal Collection. Which was and is an Honor as I Don't think he was prone to letting much loose. Our staff's worked hard to showcase Mr. Stanley's Collection and it's a Pleasure to bring it to Market to be enjoyed by others. He Started his Collection so Early on, it showcases some VERY RARE early items. Including a N.O.S Kemper Thomas Ford Sign from the 1930's and a Golden Flo 2 Gallon of which only 3 are known to exist. This being number 3.

Palmers Auction Co. is honored & saddened to be handling the Advertising Estate of long time beloved collector Jim MacGregor of Iowa. The Estate features the best of the best when it comes to early Country Store Advertising. Jim was well known in the Antique Advertising Community, he had a natural talent and uparraleld drive for obtaining some of the rarest pieces. Many of which he got fresh out of the wild. As you scroll threw the Sale, you'll note many of the pieces are New Old Stock, some still obtaining the original boxes. We would like to thank Jim's spouse Deb for entrusting us with the monumental task of bringing the collection to market. Her help, hospitality and the hours of trading "Pickin" Stories back and fourth, will long be remembered long after the collection is rehomed.
