Estate Weimar Kobalt Katharina Floral Gilt Teapot - Collectible Weimar Porzellan porcelain teapot produced in the former German Democratic Republic, finished in a deep cobalt-blue glaze with elaborate gold decoration and colorful floral medallions. The central reserve features a prominent purple rose surrounded by smaller yellow, orange, and blue flowers, framed by finely detailed gilt scrollwork. The elegant form includes a tall white porcelain spout with gold accents, an ornate scrolling handle highlighted in gilt, and a fitted domed cobalt lid topped with a decorative gold-and-white finial. Additional gold scroll decoration appears around the shoulder and lid, while the white-and-gold foot provides a contrasting base. The underside is factory marked “Weimar Porzellan, ” “Made in German Democratic Republic, ” “Echt Weimar-Kobalt, ” and “Katharina, ” with pattern/model numbers 7545 and 78.
