Royal Doulton Large Character Jug Long John Silver D6335 - A Royal Doulton ceramic character jug depicting the pirate protagonist Long John Silver from Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. The piece is modelled with a smiling expression and ruddy complexion, wearing a black tricorn hat with a white skull and crossbones emblem over a white knotted bandana. A green parrot with a yellow beak is perched upon the shoulder, forming the handle of the jug. The character's name is embossed on the reverse of the brown jacket. The base displays the Royal Doulton factory mark with a lion atop a crown and is printed with the model number D.6335, copyright date 1951, Doulton and Company Limited, and registration numbers 864843, 29156, 6404, and 112/51.
