A Smiths Mid-Century Perforated Brass Sunburst Wall Clock - A mid-century wall clock by the British manufacturer Smiths, featuring a distinctive sunburst-style case. The item is constructed with a central circular dial surrounded by a broad, perforated brass-toned metal rim decorated with concentric circular cut-outs of varying sizes. The brushed silver-toned dial face features Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, with baton markers for the remaining hours. The dial is fitted with ornate, gold-toned hour and minute hands and a slim red sweep second hand. It is marked SMITHS and MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN, with a stylized Q battery logo. The reverse houses a later replacement black plastic quartz movement marked U.T.S. QUARTZ, MADE IN GERMANY, and W 738, bearing a CE mark. Diameter: 25.5 cm.
