R. C. 'Floral Still Lifes' (Signed) - A pair of Italian School miniature floral paintings on gold leaf. One composition depicts a cluster of blue cornflowers, and the other features a bouquet of red and purple poppies and anemones. The works are executed in gouache or mixed media against a textured 23 carat gold leaf background. Both central panels bear vertical signatures to the right-hand side; the signature on the poppy piece is inscribed R. C. The miniatures are presented in matching square dark-wood effect frames with triple-matted borders in cream and gold. 11.5 x 11.5 cm (frames); 4 x 3 cm (images).
