Brutalist Welded Steel Starburst Table Centrepiece Fruit Bowl - A mid-century modern style sculpture of starburst or sea urchin form, designed for use as a decorative table centrepiece or fruit bowl. The piece is constructed from numerous solid steel rods of varying lengths, torch-welded to a central open ring hub. The object is finished with a silver-toned coating throughout. Its radial, multi-directional design allows it to be displayed in various orientations, supported by the tips of the rods. The construction exhibits the characteristic rough, industrial weld points associated with the Brutalist aesthetic. No maker's marks, signatures, or hallmarks are present.
