The work depicts a red Royal Mail Streamline DAF articulated lorry, registration J208 OFC, at the Southeast Midlands Distribution Centre in Northampton. The scene illustrates the vehicle on a rain-washed surface during the opening of the Crow Lane Industrial Estate facility in 1992. The print is hand-signed by the artist Keith Hill and includes a commemorative dedication to W Cockburn, CBE TD, noting the opening date of 3 June 1992. The piece is produced on heavy paper stock and is currently unframed, mounted to a cardboard backing. No frame is present.
