A Collection of Francis Howard Ltd Stainless Steel Cutlery and Mixed Silver-Plated Flatware
A large assortment of mixed flatware and cutlery of British manufacture. The collection includes table knives with stainless steel blades etched with the maker mark Francis Howard Ltd, Sheffield. These knives are fitted with cream-coloured handles, likely of xylonite or celluloid composition, which have a rounded form and are finished with a circular monogram. The forks and spoons are silver-plated and designed in the Old English pattern. Many pieces feature an engraved script monogram, appearing as the interlaced letters G and S. The group comprises various items including table knives, forks, and dessert spoons.
