A Collection of Devotional Religious Medals and Jewellery Including a Buddhist Intaglio Brooch - An assortment of religious and commemorative jewellery comprising various medals, pendants, and crosses. The group features several silver-tone and gold-tone devotional medals, notably a circular medal inscribed Queen of the Universe Pray for Us surrounding a central figure of the Virgin Mary, and several smaller Marian medals including one with a mother-of-pearl style backing. Included are diverse cruciform designs, such as a Celtic-style cross on a fine-link chain, a four-armed cross on a braided black leather cord, and a smaller gold-tone Latin cross. A commemorative rectangular pin is embossed with Our Chalet and depicts a mountain building. A prominent feature of the collection is a silver-tone decorative brooch set with a rectangular, frosted light-blue stone, likely glass or chalcedony. This stone is intaglio-carved with a seated Buddha figure in a meditative pose, framed by scrolling foliate motifs and accented with small iridescent stones.
