The obverse features the Jubilee Head portrait of Queen Victoria facing left, with the circumscribed legend VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITT: REGINA F: D:. The reverse presents a crowned, quartered shield of arms representing England, Scotland, and Ireland, encircled by the Garter with the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE.
