Portrait Miniatures
- A pair of antique miniature oval portraits on noble material of an unknown man and woman, both with signature ‘Hoppner’. Watercolour paintings with intricate hatching and dotting creating realistic portrayals through the expert precision and layering of colour. Glazed in wooden frames with brass beading to rim of glazing.
Circa mid to late 19th century.
Condition: overall good, minor faults rear of frames, one with humidity damage beneath the glass.
Dim: frames 13x10.5cm / painting 6x8.5cm approx
