Antique Pendant - - A rare & highly collectible Georgian (1714 - 1830) silver pendant, with a central miniature hand painted portrait of a Georgian lady, behind glass secured with a slim band of gold. The perforated edge is exquisite adorned with ‘Antique Paste’ which is basically hand cut pieces of glass highly polished to shimmer and give the appearance of gemstones. Hugely popular in the Georgian period as a cheaper alternative to diamonds. This timeless piece is as current today as it was then, and is a perfect gift for that special person. Origin : France.
