Antique Bronze Sculpture - - An antique bronze sculpture titled ”The Skater” by acclaimed sculptor Hugo Uher (1882 - 1945) Uher learned artistry at the academy in Prague, his talent was soon discovered and he was often commissioned to make tombstones and a mausoleum. In addition to monumental sculpture, he also had a passion for small pieces, his oeuvre shows that he was particularly inspired by skating figures. He was later recognised for his life size sculpture of Ludwig Van Beethoven which he made in 1929. Sculpture is inscribed to the plinth with the artists name. Condition : Used, good.
