Antique Desk - - An antique Portuguese baroque-style writing desk, early 20th century piece, a very good reproduction of an original piece from the 1860’s. In solid ebonized noble wood. Desk with profusely carved decoration with twists and shakes, moss green velvet fabric inlayed on the table top with a tick beveled edge glass top over it, 8 spiral columns, 11 drawers and carved border, bronze bracket handles, barley-twist columns with stippling and geometric embellishments and faux drawers on the sides and back, raised on rounded feet. Condition: Used/good, the desk columns need to the glued in place, currently losse, the velvet top displays some minor tears, some small wood embellishment pieces are missing, overall structurally good for a restoration project. Dim: 145(L)x80(D)x82(H) cm.
