Antique Coin Brooch - - An antique Portuguese silver coin brooch, depicting the 1Escudo coin. This coin is of significant historical importance as it commemorates a pivotal moment in Portugals history. One side depicts Liberty with a torch to light its way, words on the upper perimeter, & the date of birth of the republic below. To the reverse the Portuguese coat of arms on a stylised globe, with a wreath of flowers around it. The coin is an extremely fine grade FX - 45, with reeded edge. Circa : 1910.
