Moroccan Jars - - A pair of extra large Moroccan ceramic jars, with dome shaped lids and ornate finials. The intricate detailing and hand painted designs suggests they were crafted by skilled artisans. The most prominent feature is the Arabic calligraphy inscribed in circular medallions & flowing script across the surface. Over blue, turquoise and yellow tones commonly used in traditional Moroccan painting, symbolising spirituality and luxury. These wonderful statement pieces would have featured in an entrance hall or prime position in an aristocratic house, for all to admire.
