Antique Console Table - - A superb quality 18th century console table, hand crafted from solid Chestnut wood by a skilled carpenter in the Basque region of France. Consisting of a single piece of wood forming the top, which is rare with tables of this size, with 2 slim drawers below, on a solid base with robust stretchers connecting each leg. The back of the table has a carved design mimicking the drawer fronts. This wonderfully functional piece of furniture, has an excellent age related patina. Quite simply would work in a contemporary space or in an older property, giving it a strong universal appeal. Condition : Used, damage to one drawer knob, and a little wear to the top commensurate with age, structurally good, overall very good. Dim : 80cm (H) x 218cm (L) x 64cm (D)
