Original Oil Painting - - An original oil painting on canvas, depicting a city scene centred around a canal and social gatherings. The clever use of vibrant colours really brings this piece to life. By British artist Kevin W Ryall (B. 1946) Born in Farnborough, Kent. He studied painting at the Ravensbourne Art School in the mid 1960’s. After numerous visits to The National Gallery in London, he realised his profound intrest was with the works of The Old Masters. He decided a deep understanding of their methods & techniques was essential if he was to develop as a painter. His first recognised piece titled The Valley (2011) amongst other depictions of British countrysides and towns gave him the confidence to establish his own identity in the art world. He opened The Green Gallery in 2000, it was an instant success. This wonderful piece of British art, is framed in an ornately carved frame, with beautiful floral decoration in relief, and painted in intense gold hues. Condition : Used, good.
