Ting Lithograph - - A test coloured lithograph for a limited edition series. A composition with 2 women By Walasse Ting (1929 - 2010) A self taught artist with a raw talent, his journey began as a youth painting on the streets of Shanghai. He moved to Paris in 1952 the epicentre of the art world, where he met Asher Jorn & Karel Appel whose spontaneous works left a lasting impression on the young artist. 5 years later later he moved to New York, and discovered his real talent lay in a mature style of vivid gestural painting & abstract expressionism. Today his works can be found in permanent international collections displayed at The Guggenheim Museum & The Museum Of Modern Art in New York City. Framed in a simple black frame with anti reflective glass, so not to detract from the art. Not signed or numbered. Condition : Used, very good. Dim : 60cm (H) x 80.5cm (W)
