Chinese Bar - - A Vintage Chinese bar, circa early 20th century, solid wood structure toped with black lacquer paint, decorated all around with intricate inlaid decorations in mother-of-pearl with landscape motifs, including trees, birds, and pagodas. The top lid lifts up, revealing a beautifully decorated panel inside (with a scenic Chinese garden landscape) and an interior storage area intended for bottles or barware. The sides of the top can fold out to expand the surface area. This type of furniture was popular among collectors of exotic and luxurious furniture during the 1920s-1950s, particularly for ”oriental-themed” rooms. Condition: Used/good, some general loss and faults to the mother of pearl Inlays. The bar also presents some fault to the front feet as it displays a severe inclination forward (needs service to the feet). Dim: 92(L)x45(D)x106(H) cm.
