Contemporary Sculpture - - A contemporary wooden sculpture titled Woman Lying Down by renowned Portuguese Sculptor Anibal Ruivo. Attending the Commercial & Industrial School of Faro, where he revealed his art in school competitions resulting in numerous prize awards. The wonderful piece on offer today depicts Ruivo’s interpretation of a lady in nude form, laying on her back with one leg outstretched the other pointing upwards. Beautifully carved from a single piece of wood, in his unmistakable style, with a warm finish superbly displaying the grain of the wood. Artists initials to the lower leg. Circa : 2000.
