Console & Mirror - - A superb early 20th century hallway set, consisting of a Rococo style wall mirror with beveled edged glass. In gilded wood of a highly ornate nature, including scrollwork, floral motifs and a central cartouche. A stylized bird/dragon like creature crowns the top, adding a whimsical & elaborate focal point. The console table is equally as beautiful and detailed. The base is ornately carved in guilded wood, matching the mirrors Rococo theme, with shaped cabriole legs adorned with acanthus leaves over scroll feet. To add to the drama of the piece is an exquisite apron featuring a pierced carved medallion & foliage motifs. Finished with a removable salmon pink marble top with a shaped beveled edge.
