Italian Chess Set - - A superb Veronese chess set complete with the original board. The Veronese Design is a highly acclaimed brand, renowned for producing high quality figures based on classical, mythological or fantasy themes. Known predominantly for their cold cast metal or bronze pieces, they are considered collectible due to their craftsmanship and ornate detailing. The set on offer today are cast metal in gold and silver tones, with a distinctive Roman Warrior theme. The board displays a beautiful wood veneer, with alternating light and dark squares and a high gloss finish, with a darker wood border. Stamped to the back of each piece Veronese 2004.
