The Nuremberg Madonna is a limewood sculpture of the Virgin Mary, part of a larger Crucifixion group. It is known for its unique depiction of Mary, who appears youthful and elegant rather than in a typical grieving posture. The original sculpture on which this piece is based was created in Nuremberg between 1515 and 1520 by an unknown carver. Condition: Used/good, no wood worm or rotting. Dim: 40(H) cm.
