Antique Chest - - A mid 19 century lift up sugar chest with lower drawer, circa 1820-1860. Featuring turned legs, painted interior, wood knobs and brass keyholes, hand cut dovetail joints, inner lid has vivid turquoise colours with decorative motifs likely added in later years. This is a two piece set, the removable chest at the top and the base with legs in the lower section. Condition: Used\good, general wear commensurate with age, no wood worm, general loss to interior paint, missing side handles. Dim: Chest alone: 110(L)x55(H) cm. Chest + base: 110(L)x105(H) cm.
