African Sculpture - - A superb African sculpture depicting an African Tribal Man. Hand carved from a single piece of solid hardwood, by a skilled craftsman. The figure is almost life sized, with traditional ritualistic markings to his face & body. The face is heavily detailed with inlaid enamel forming his eyes and decorative motifs, and particularly nice work on the beard and top-knot hairstyle. Wearing minimal loincloth and carrying a large stylized object over his shoulder. Typical in African tribal art. Condition : Used, with a beautifully aged patina, very good. Dim : 151cm (H)
