Antique Marriage Chest - - An antique wooden Rajastani Dowry Chest, also referred to as a bridal box. Traditionally used in Indian marriage ceremonies to carry the brides dowry or trousseau items. Hand painted with ornamental borders & royal or courtly figures in traditional attire, inspired by a country with a rich and significant historical importance. With a hinged lid, for easy access to the plain and spacious interior. Condition : Used, with faults & small imperfections to the paint, a little age related wear, and the lid doesn’t quite close, structurally good overall fair/good.
