Anonymous 16th century Spanish - Gothic window grille. Spain, 16th century. Gothic grille with frame. Made of wrought iron and wood. It retains its original carved wooden frame that receives the iron grille structure. Its balusters are decorated with heart-shapes in the centre, while its shafts are smooth at the top and spiral-shaped at the bottom. Some of the side bars are curved, in antique style. These decorations can be found, for example, in the Gothic grille of Pamplona Cathedral, in that of the Main Chapel of Zamora Cathedral, or in that of the Monastery of Guadalupe. Measurements: 160 x 140 x 26 cm.
