Chantilly lace fan in black, c. 1900
French fan with country made of black Chantilly lace. Its obverse side represents five angels carrying musical instruments, in contrast to the five little animals (three birds and two butterflies) on the reverse side of the country. Both compositions stand out on the same white textile that enhances both compositions. Good state of conservation with the exception of consolidating a few rods to the country.
