Follower of Dirik Bouts. Virgin of the Pear c. 1500 - This work features in its subject, the Virgin with the Child, a model that we can consider a follower of the proposals of the master Dirk Bouts (Haarlem, Netherlands, ca. 1420 - Leuven, Belgium, ca. 1475). Mary, who stars in the three-dimensional space of this composition, holds her Son, both engaged in opposite attention, where they remain connected at the moment they both touch the same pear of fruit. The Virgin appears enthroned, wearing striking crimson attire, imposed by her painter in front of a landscape with forest and architectures that transition from the Gothic style to the Renaissance style. This painting must be related to other pieces considered original by Master Bouts, such as Virgin and Child (National Gallery of Denmark, Copenhagen, post-1454, inv. no.
