Antonio Palomino (Bujalance 1655 - Madrid 1726) - Saint Joseph with the Infant Jesus - In our opinion, this is undoubtedly an original painting by Spanish artist Antonio Acisclo Palomino de Castro y Velasco (Bujalance, Córdoba 1655 - Madrid 1726). The models, both of the face of Saint Joseph, the figure of the Baby Jesus, and the angel in flight, correspond to compositional details of the painter's signed works that are known to be his. It has been restored and has some pictorial flaws. The canvas is partially lined, as it is old. This is an interesting work that adds to the known paintings in the painter's catalog.
