Aguado (Century XX) - Still life with candelabra and two books - Oil on canvas. Signed in the lower left corner: ‘L Aguado’. The book that remains open shows an allusion to the art of Painting as it represents the Delphic Sibyl, image of the fresco painting made by Michelangelo Buonarroti in 1509 for the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican City (see last two images). Size: 45.5 x 54.5 cm (support); 51.3 x 60.2 x 4.5 cm (frame).
