Anonymous 18th century Spanish or Italian - Frame with symbols of the Passion. Spain or Italy, 18th century - Frame in polychrome and gilded wood. Spanish or Italian work from the end of the 18th century. Decorated with gilt rocailles on a reddish background and elements related to the Passion of Christ. Coats of arms in the corners and in the centre of the longer sides of the frame: dice, nails, bag (Judas coins), mallet and tongs, cross with spears and two whips. These motifs show its destiny to house a passionate religious painting. Size: 187 x 3 x 87 cm; light 154 x 51 cm.
