Attributed to Honore Daumier (1808-1879) - Woman playing castanets - Attributed to Honore Daumier (Marseille 1808 - Valmondois 1879). This small drawing depicts the torso of a woman seen from the right side and back, as she raises her left arm to touch, it seems, a Spanish castanet. She could be a singer or dancer in a festive mood. Oil pencil and conté crayon on paper. Signed or inscribed with initials in the lower right corner: “h.D.”. Dimensions: 116 x 70 mm.
