Signed and underlined in capital letters, near the lower right corner: “LVNA.” Original work by Filipino painter and national hero Juan Luna Novicio, an unpublished work to be highlighted and included in his production and new studies. It depicts a Middle Eastern man, seated, smoking calmly and serenely. Very good condition. Dimensions: 488 x 354 mm. Provenance: Descendant of José Taviel de Andrade y Lerdo de Tejada (1857-1920), Spanish painter and military man, personal bodyguard of José Rizal, national hero of the Philippines.
