Morez wall clock. France, 19th century - Made from over-gilded sheet metal, this is an example of a late 19th-century French domestic clock of the so-called ‘Morez’ type. It has a porcelain dial with Roman and Arabic numerals. The clock is finished with a decoration depicting a peacock with its tail spread, flanked by two other birds. It retains its original pendulum and weights. The movement requires servicing. Dimensions: 170 x 26 x 25 cm
