Scottish box c. 1890 - Box of the prestigious British firm SCOTT ADIE, established in 1854, supplier to Queen Victoria of England and the Princess of Wales, as well as to other foreign courts (as the text indicates): ”The Royal Scotch Warehouse, / by Special Appointment / SCOTT ADIE / 115 and 115A REGENT STREET, / LONDON”. The products of this firm were Scotch woollens, ladies' and men's tailoring, hosiery, shawls, silks, etc. Made of cardboard with cartouche, on its cover, on printed paper. British work c. 1890. Composed of two pieces, upper lid and lower body. Measures: 25.5 x 40.8 x 6.7 cm.
