Ottoman gilded silver wire embroidered Bimah textile 1868 - the ground of the textile is made of purple silk. In the center is embroidered with silver wire ornamentation in geometric  Medalion and  organic design. Border of the textile embroidered with foliarte scroll work.  Dedication and date embroidered in Hebrew and ladino   ” to my precious daughter lady Ester, daughter of Areah (may she be blessed from the woman's tent... (from) Rabbi Areah 5629 (1868)  dimensions: 86cm*48cm * seemingly dedicated by the same Areah as lot # 114  in honor of a different daughter of his. *In Ottoman lands, items such as these were often first used domestically and then on a subsequent special occasion donated for the use of the synagague.
