A gilt silver Ghurbaqa Dagdan Pendant - Turkestan -1900 - The shape of this unique pendant is a recurring motif in Turkmen culture and refers to the local Dagdan tree (birch). The pendant is gilt engraved and inset with colored stones. On its bottom a row of gilt silver elongated and inset links followed by a row of embossed silver links in organic design. A simple long metal necklace connects to two rings on each side of its narrow part. The piece is cut, pierced, engraved, gilded and soldered.
