A large and rare gilded silver and leather Talismanic bag Heikel - 1880-1920 -  a thick leather bag with a leather strap, used for a talisman or as an antique Quran leather bag. On the cover a large gilt silver plaque engraved in organic design and set with carnelian. Decorated on the sides and on the bottom with strands composed of inset gilt silver links followed by silver pendants embossed in organic design, alternating with silver strands with silver bells. The strap is decorated with fifteen gilt silver inset plaques. cut, gilded, soldered, engraved dimensions of koran holder: 25*21 cm length including strap: 100 cm  gross weight: 1500 grams * Usually worn by women for storing talismans, amulets and Quran.
