A fine gilt silver headpiece - Uzbekistan - 1880-1900 - The ornament is set with turquoise (some missing) and coloured stones and filigree. Inset in center with a large marquise-cut red stone. Cylindrical and circular elements surround the square-shaped body. Tassels with corals and gilt silver elements hang down from the main body. Some peeling to the silver. Some stones missing. the item is gilded, punched, and soldered. dimensions: 10*10 cm diameter of corals: 2-10 mm gross weight: 305 grams (seems to be some type of filling inside)
