Silver and gilt silver necklace (Ma'anakeh) - Yemen 20th century - The necklace is comprised of two hollow gilt silver triangular elements decorated with filigree in geometric design and hold the threads on which the necklace is beaded. The elements are connected by nine rows of granulated silver beads threaded alternately with faceted silver beads. The beaded rows are connected to the elements in reversed order creating an X shape, giving the necklace a unique design and volume cut, soldered, granulated, cast length: 39 cm weight: 396 gram
