rare signed silver Islamic Jambiya - late 19th / early 20th century - The hilt of the blade is crafted from hardwood. engraved chiselled silver element adorns the top of the hilt. The double-edged blade is finely crafted from steel. The sheath of the blade is finely engraved with floral work. Several signatures adorn the sheath. Islamic date 1329 engraved into the sheath.  Islamic late 19th /early 20th century length of blade: 24 cm length of jambiyah: 39cm A blade like this was owned by a very wealthy person.
