A ceremonial fabric and silver headdress - Turkestan - late 19th century - Composed of a woven fabric embroidered with a central dome-shaped element engraved in geometric design and a metal rod in the centre followed by a round-shaped element with a small dome inset with a blue stone and decorated with arrowhead-shaped pendants. The dome’s perimeter is decorated with strands composed of flat elongated links inset with stones followed by teardrop-shaped embossed pendants alternating with ball-shaped bell pendants. At the front, a large architectural shaped plaque inset with a flat oval carnelian and a row of elongated embossed links at each side ending with a large architectural shaped inset plaque. followed by a row of embossed flower-shaped links decorated with a row of teardrop-shaped pendants. A dorsal embellishment decorated with tasselled strands with white beads and an embroidered triangle at the bottom followed by a row of tassels. A pair of smaller dorsal pendants at the sides each composed of a beaded embellishment ending with an embroidered triangle at the bottom followed by a row of tassels.
